Recognizing Juneteenth

Brothers and Sisters,

The labor movement and the movement for racial justice go hand in hand. At Local 7, we remain dedicated to ensuring that everyone is respected on the job and lifting up all working people.

Today, Juneteenth, marks the end of slavery in the United States. However, the fight for racial equality continues. That’s why we proudly partner with programs like Building Pathways to diversify our membership and ensure everyone has a chance to build our region. As part of that commitment, we also continue to call out racial injustice when we see it.

Read Brother Neil Campbell’s op-ed about the holiday and how Local 7 is working towards a more equitable future.
